Mission Statement
The Certain Women Art Show is a Latter-Day Saint Women's Art Show, unique in that it exclusively features the work of Latter-Day Saint Women Artists. We seek to showcase our unique perspectives as women of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and highlight the diverse artistry of our collective. Though we are not certain of all things, we are a group of women who have faith in the divinity of Christ. And so we choose—to follow Christ, to believe in our Heavenly Parents, and to believe in the divinity that is within us all as children of God. Knowing that our voices are stronger together than they are apart, we unite them in order to amplify our influence. By offering first-person narratives, we aim to overcome pervasive stereotypes. We are women of vision who act deliberately—we are thoughtful, strong, and certain.

Theme Statement
Brave Like Eve reenvisions one of the most iconic origin stories in religious tradition – one that has profoundly shaped societal perceptions of womanhood. Rooted in Latter-day Saint theology, which emphasizes Eve’s essential and courageous role in God’s plan, the exhibition invites viewers to reconsider Eve’s legacy as one of informed choice and sacred responsibility. The exhibition challenges long-held narratives that have cast Eve—and by extension, all women—in a negative light. We aim to portray Eve as a thoughtful woman taught at the feet of Heavenly Parents, gifted with wisdom to take steps necessary to bring forth our very existence, and courageously faithful to Christ. In doing so, it opens space to rethink how women are seen across history and culture—no longer burdened by shame and subjugation, but honored as brave, like Eve.
